San Diego Zoo Wants You To Help Polar Bears and Giant Pandas.

Animal SOS

Many of the world’s animal species are barely making it in their wild habitats these days, including two of our most popular bears: giant pandas and polar bears.

Giant pandas are facing forest and bamboo patch destruction and global warming is melting the arctic ice floes that polar bears depend on for survival. If you feel stuck in the hibernation mode and don’t know what to do about it, here’s an easy way you can help protect these beloved bruins.

Your Own Animal SOS Page

You can create your own Animal SOS page on the San Diego Zoo’s Web site to let family and friends know how concerned you are about bears AND to raise money that will help the Zoo protect and save them! Instead of receiving gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, or other special occasions, you can collect donations for giant panda or polar bear conservation. Or, perhaps your fundraising efforts will be in honor of a special person in your life.

Polar Bear Attack.

Polar Bear Attacks Woman in Berlin Zoo

Woman Jumped Into Polar Bears' Enclosure During Feeding Time

After long, panicked seconds in the bears' moat with one of the massive animals biting at her backside, the woman was eventually pulled to safety and treated for severe injuries.

"What she's done here, she should thank the good Lord she's alive," Jack Hanna, director emeritus at the Columbus Zoo in Ohio, told "Good Morning America." "It's amazing to me."

Video Captures Polar Bear Attack

A video of the incident shows the woman thrashing in the bears' moat and attempting to grab life preservers and ropes thrown by would-be rescuers while one of the bears repeatedly bites her rear end.

Wow that is something you don't hear about everyday. Well, at least I don't.

Oh my goodness I have been gone for a million years. Sorry about that just moving and trying to get settled. I hope to get back on track again to keep you posted on the beautiful animal, the Polar Bear. I hope that everyone will still enjoy.
